Extra People Launches New Casting Platform!
Today marks a huge milestone for us.
After 11 fantastic years, Extra People is leaving Entertainment Partners.
We’re bringing every single part of the casting puzzle into one powerful home, built from the ground-up for the future of UK Film & TV.
What happens now?
In the coming weeks, all current Extra People profiles will receive an onboarding link to activate their new profile on our new system .
Onboarding invites to current Extra People artists to claim their profile will be sent in stages.
Please wait patiently - invites are being sent in batches to control traffic to the new platform.
Do not worry if friends or family members receive invites before you.
Our process isn’t prioritising favourites and we haven’t forgotten anyone, we’re just managing platform traffic.
Your old Extra People profile will still exist on the Entertainment Partners platform for you to access on-going bookings, previous remittances and outstanding payments.
Should you have any pre-existing bookings on the Entertainment Partners platform, rest assured that your project manager will be in touch shortly with instructions about the transition if necessary.
We’ll be casting as normal through the transition, with a full switch over announced soon.
Platform Migrations FAQs
-
Yes, creating a new profile on our new casting platform is necessary for all future collaboration with Extra People.
-
No, you will need to create a new Extra People profile from scratch.
Current artists will receive a link to open their new profile on the new platform to find very basic information has already been entered. But all photos, skills and other casting information will need to be uploaded.
All artists should fill out their casting profiles to the best of their abilities to boost casting chances.
-
The project manager handling your current bookings will be in touch with you directly to clarify. If you are currently booked on the old platform, these bookings will likely be processed via the Entertainment Partners platform. Future bookings however, will likely be processed on our new platform.
-
Those who are still awaiting outcomes to recent Availability Enquiries will receive updates for those enquiries on the old Entertainment Partners platform.
All new availability enquiries, however, will be sent from our new platform. There will be several weeks where you will need to maintain access to both Extra People profiles on the old Entertainment Partners platform and our new platform until the transition has fully completed.
-
Any outstanding payments you are owed through Extra People bookings will be processed through the Entertainment Partners platform and not on our new platform. The new platform launch will not cause delays to these outstanding payments - they will continue as normal.
-
Not immediately but eventually yes.
To enable access to recent bookings, outstanding payments and previous payment remittances, your old Extra People profile will remain accessible to you on the Entertainment Partners platform for 3 months.
We encourage downloading all payment remittances from your old Extra People profile soon though for bookkeeping and tax reasons in case Entertainment Partners lock access at some undisclosed date further into the future.
But please be clear we will no longer be casting via Entertainment Partners. If you want to get new bookings, you must create a new profile on our new platform. -
No. We will not be mass-deleting any artist data that exists on old Extra People profiles on the Entertainment Partners platform.
Extra People artists are welcome to delete any sensitive data on their old profile in their own time.
-
Your Entertainment Partners profile is completely independent from Extra People and will continue to be visible to all other agencies on the Entertainment Partners platform, as usual. For this reason, your Ent.P profile will need to be updated independently of your new Extra People profile on our new platform.
