Welcome to Extra People

Congratulations on being invited to join one of the UK's leading background casting agencies!

This is your gateway to the Film & TV Industry and flexible well-paid work.

What do we do?

We provide Supporting Artists (SAs) to Film & TV productions, commercials and corporate videos.

Often referred to as 'Extras', SAs populate the world of every film, television show and commercial you've ever watched.

They make the world of the story feel real and believable.

We also cast actor doubles, stand-ins and featured roles with limited dialogue.

Extra People is about to re-open our books
on our brand new custom-built platform.

This offers a rare opportunity for newcomers to join an industry-leading background agency precisely when we're busy working on very exciting casting briefs on some of the world's biggest and best productions.

If you're seeing this page, we think you already match the description of an upcoming casting brief.

Joining Extra People is completely free. We only take 20% commission from wages earned.

If you're not available, no worries - we'll keep considering you for other opportunities.

Extra People artists are paid union rates and earn higher than national living wage after our commission is deducted.
Our rates are detailed here: https://extra-people.com/rates

Daily earnings range from £130 - £300+
Our average artist earning in 2025 was £200 per day.
